Personal information is defined slightly differently across the world. To guarantee your privacy and the protection of your information, we define it as any information that could be used to identify you or another individual.

  • Visitors to our Website

Whenever you complete one of our website forms, you will be providing personal data to us and, in doing so, you are specifically requesting contact from us. This may be through requesting a login account for our product website or simply making an enquiry.

Data relating to any purchases of goods such as your name, title, billing address, delivery address, email address, phone number, contact details, purchase details and your card details are processed in order to supply the goods you have purchased and to keep records of such transactions.

When someone visits our website we use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitors behaviour patterns. This information is processed in way that does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.   • Newsletter Sign Up

As part of the registration process for our e-newsletter, we collect personal information. We don't rent or trade email lists with other organisations and businesses. 

We use a third party provider, MailChimp, to deliver our newsletter. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter. For more information, please see MailChimp’s privacy notice. 

You can unsubscribe to general mailings at any time of the day or night by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails or by emailing our data protection officer, Wendy Warren.

We love interacting with you on social media. You may use social media to contact us about our products, or to let people know what you think about your purchases. 

  • Stands and events

You may share personal information with us when you visit us in person at our stands and events such as your name, contact details, email address.

We use two lawful basis for processing of personal data as detailed below:

Contract basis for lawful processing is used for personal information which directly relates to purchases (i.e. contract of sale) .

Whilst you are a client we need to store and process certain personal data, such as your name, address, email address, telephone number and your payment details. We are required by law to hold accounting information for approx. 7 years (6 years from the end of the last financial year), but any other information that is not required to be kept by law can be erased from our systems.

When you become a client of Wendy Warren Jewellery it is necessary for us to share your personal data with some 3rd-party data processors (other companies).

Consent basis is used when you choose to opt in to receive our direct marketing such as email newsletters, promotional sales and invitation to events. This use of personal data applies to both clients and non-clients and is usually restricted to just your name, address, email address and telephone number.

You may opt out of receiving our newsletters and marketing at any time, whether a current customer or not.
